ABOUT THE ARTIST
Caracas, Venezuela, 1956.
Venezuelan artist Eduardo Lacarra constantly strives to capture light, speed and strength in his art. In his alla prima approach, he confronts a blank canvas to allow flashes of color and feeling to emerge and transform into works imbued with emotion and thunderous color that envelop the observer.
“In these moments of magical creativity, I face a blank canvas like a pure, white soul, waiting to be filled with harmonious statements, light, color, content, shape, traces…”, in the artist’s words.
