ABOUT THE ARTIST
Diana Banos
I was born September 16, 1985 in Panama from Chinese descendants. I moved to United States at the age of 15. I was selected to do mural paintings for a non-profit organization in orphanages, theatre, and playground for kids at the age of 17 with Mary Wilson artist muralist, curator at and art director of Starwithteens.org . I won a scholarship to learn the art of faux finish that landed a job with interior designer Stacy Define in Melbourne Florida. At the age of 19, I moved to New York to studied to pursue my passion my dreams of studying fine arts. I studied at the Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn and graduated and then furthered my education in fine arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology I learned the technique of printmaking, studied figurative painting and drawing, sculpture and during the summer in New York I was taking art classes at the Art Student League in 57 st. then I furthered my studies in Visual Art Management to understand the business of art but decided to take a break and during my break I met the love of my life and got married. My husband and I opened a french cafe in Greenwich Village were I first exhibited my artwork in 2012. We decided to move to Miami for a change and during my I painted full force for 2 years 2013-2014 where I finally had my first one woman show at Nina Torres Fine Art in Miami in the Arts and Entertainment District in April of 2015. I currently work and paint in my art studio in Miami. I also hold a license in Real Estate. I am also a real estate associate the Fortuna International Realty. I speak spanish, english, cantonese I am also learning french and mandarin. I also take ballet classes and taken samba and tango and salsa classes. I am very passionate about music, art, languages, and dance
